Top Scottish Lochs and Castles Day Tour from Greenock Cruise Port

This ship-to-ship service runs from Greenock Cruise Port.

Our Lochs and Castles day tour offers a wonderful mix of Scotland’s heritage and magnificent landscapes. During your time with us, we visit stunning Loch Lomond and historic Inveraray, with its fairytale castle.

Firstly, we head for bonnie Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. There are plenty of photo opportunities with the waterside villages of Luss and Tarbet offering great views of the Loch and Ben Lomond.

We’ll stop at Luss which sits on the west side of Loch Lomond and is often quoted as being one of the prettiest villages in Scotland. It’s famed for its quaint slate cottages, decorative hanging baskets and breath taking views of the Loch.

Our next stop is Inveraray Castle which is the ancestral seat of the Dukes of Argyll - Chiefs of the Clan Campbell whose family have resided in Inveraray since the early 15th century. The Castles storybook façade houses an equally fascinating interior including the famous Armoury Hall, the State Dining Room and the Tapestry Drawing Room which contains magnificent French tapestries woven especially for the Castle.

Alternatively, you can choose to visit Inveraray Jail and Courthouse, an award-winning museum that graphically recounts prison conditions from medieval times up until the 19th century.

There will then be some free time for you to explore the quaint local high street and its speciality shops displaying all things Scottish - ideal for souvenirs.

Making our way back to your ship, we will stop at The Rest & Be Thankful - the highest point on the A83, and 803 ft above sea level. From the viewpoint of this world famous beauty spot you can see the old military road, engineered by General Wade and completed in 1750 - you'll be able to see the stone which was erected to commemorate this.

Your Private tour will cover all the must-see sights of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, at a pace which suits you!
